Takayuki Kumagai – CEO, Founding Partner
Kumagai holds a Ph.D. in Engineering from Osaka University, Dr. Kumagai’s expertise lies in optical and solid-state physics. Engaging in research as part of a Research Fellowship for Young Scientists (DC1) of the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science, his research has been awarded several times in domestic and overseas academic conferences. Experience includes participation in the incorporation of startups when he was still at University, where Dr. Kumagai received top honors at several venture contests. After working in a trading company handling measurement devices as Sale and marketing manager, he joined Technology Seed Incubation Co., Ltd. (TSI). At TSI, he gained valuable experiences in venture capital investment, building startups, consulting, and cross-border M&A as a director. He is currently the CEO of JAVIS Ventures CO., Ltd.
